Sanders To Trump: ‘We Won’t Be Distracted From Your Efforts To Give Billionaires Tax Cuts’

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) fired back at President Trump over a series of tweets misquoting former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile’s new book, calling it a distraction and telling Trump: “do your job.”

“We won’t be distracted from your efforts to give billionaires tax cuts, take health care from millions and deny climate change. Do your job,” Sanders tweeted.

Sanders’s tweet was in response to Trump’s earlier one accusing Hillary Clinton’s campaign for having “bought the [Democratic National Committee] & then stole the Democratic Primary from Crazy Bernie!”

Brazile took to Twitter on Friday to push back against President Trump’s claim that she admitted in a forthcoming book that Hillary Clinton “stole” the Democratic presidential primary, accusing him of misquoting her book.

“Today’s lesson: Being quoted by Donald Trump means being MIS-quoted by Donald Trump. Stop trolling me,” she tweeted, along with the hashtag #NeverSaidHillaryRiggedElection.

“Mr President, please — go back to attacking me,” she wrote in another tweet. “It’s better than having my own words scrambled and spewed out by you.”
