Former Vice President Mike Pence’s speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference on Friday was interrupted by loud booing and chants of “traitor.”
An unknown number of attendees at the conservative Christian event, largely attended by steadfast Trump supporters, chanted “traitor” as Pence began his remarks.
Pence ignored the chants and attempted to speak over them. “I’m a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order,” Pence said over the chants.
He's now being shouted down with boos and yells of "traitor" as he speaks. People are being escorted out. https://t.co/PXWsfskgCv

Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly attacked Pence for not overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election during the congressional certification process, even though Pence had no constitutional authority to do so.
“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our country and our Constitution,” Trump said.
During the riots at the United States Capitol building on January 6th, several insurrectionists chanted, “Hang Mike Pence!” shortly after Trump said he would be “very disappointed” in Pence if he refused to overturn the election.
