The Hill added:
Cobb left the White House in May after serving as its point person in the special counsel probe. Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion during the 2016 election, calling the Russia probe a “witch hunt” and a “hoax.”
However, the special counsel has secured the guilty pleas and criminal convictions of many former Trump associates, including Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn.
