Trump Tweets ‘You Must Have An ID’ To Get Into Tonight’s All-Virtual Democratic Convention

President Donald Trump took to Twitter Thursday night to nonsensically claim that “you must have an ID” to get into the Democratic National Convention, which is being streamed virtually online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To get into the Democrat National Convention, you must have an ID card with a picture,” Trump falsely claimed in his tweet.

He added: “Yet the Democrats refuse to do this when it come to your very important VOTE! Gee, I wonder WHY???”

Twitter users were quick to note that this year’s convention doesn’t even have physical attendance — it’s being conducted with most speakers calling in remotely, and with people watching online.
