Trump Attacks Teen Climate Activist Again After She Beats Him For ‘Time Person Of The Year’

President Trump lashed out at climate activist Greta Thunberg after the 16-year-old was named Time’s “Person of the Year,” an honor Trump was on the shortlist for.

“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” Trump tweeted Thursday morning.

Time announced Wednesday that it would name Thunberg, who is from Stockholm, its “Person of the Year” for drawing attention to the threat of climate change.

“She became the biggest voice on the biggest issue facing the planet this year, coming from essentially nowhere to lead a worldwide movement,” Time’s editor-in-chief, Edward Felsenthal, said on NBC’s “Today.”

The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., also attacked her win on Wednesday.

In a tweet responding to Time’s announcement, Trump Jr. mocked the climate activist as “a teen being used as a marketing gimmick,” saying pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong deserved the honor. He also used Thunberg’s now-iconic phrase “How dare you?” in a twist to call out the magazine.

“Time leaves out the Hong Kong Protesters fighting for their lives and freedoms to push a teen being used as a marketing gimmick,” he posted. “How dare you?”

Thunberg spoke at the United Nations climate summit in New York in September, which Trump briefly attended. Trump later appeared to mock the teenage activist on Twitter, sharing a video of her speech in which she is visibly angry as she demands word leaders act to combat climate change.

“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump wrote on Sept. 23.

Trump’s comments about Thunberg on Thursday came amid dozens tweets and retweets about other issues, including House Democrats’ effort to impeach him.

A week later, Trump fired off yet another tweet mocking the autistic teen.

Trump quote-tweeted a supporter with the username @Opinion8dKellie who had shared a video clip of Thunberg’s speech and accused Thunberg of being “an actress.”

The Twitter user, whose bio reads, “Trump will win 2020-PERIOD,” tweeted: “What an actress! ‘I should be in school.’ She’s getting the best education socialism can steal, I won’t be held hostage by someone who just got a learner’s permit. Sorry kiddo! Tell Al to try again.”

“Keep up the great work Kellie!” Trump tweeted on Thursday morning while endorsing @Opinion8dKellie’s “actress” accusation.
