Republican National Committee Cuts All Fundraising Ties With Roy Moore
The Republican National Committee (RNC) has cut all fundraising ties with GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore follow allegations of sexual misconduct against Moore by five women, two of whom accused him of sexual misconduct with them when they were minors, Politico reported on Tuesday, citing a senior party official.
House Speaker Paul Ryan joined Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in asking Moore to drop out of the race.
A defiant Roy Moore fired back at the growing calls for him to quit in a Tuesday night tweet: “Alabamians will not be fooled by this #InsideHitJob. Mitch McConnell’s days as Majority Leader are coming to an end very soon. The fight has just begun.”
