George Conway Calls Out Trump For Retweeting Woman Who Called Migrants ‘Cockroaches’, ‘Feral Humans’

President Donald Trump on Saturday retweeted British far-right activist Katie Hopkins’ defense of his racist attacks targeting four Democratic congresswomen of color.

In response, George Conway called out the president’s retweet of the far-right political commentator.

Conway, a conservative lawyer and the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, tweeted:

So the President is the United States is (again) retweeting a woman who once wrote a column saying migrants were “cockroaches” and “feral humans” and “spreading like the norovirus,” and once tweeted, “Racial profiling is a good thing. Call me racist, I don’t care.”

Earlier this month, Trump retweeted Hopkin’s tweet praising a number of far-right politicians.

The HuffPost reports:

Hopkins rose to fame as a contestant on the U.K. version of Trump’s TV show, “The Apprentice” before becoming a columnist for the Daily Mail newspaper and a radio host for LBC.

She was dropped from both after a number of controversial statements including tweeting remarks in the wake of the Manchester bombing that some interpreted as calls for ethnic cleansing.

Hopkins wrote: “22 dead – number rising. Schofield. Don’t you even dare. Do not be part of the problem. We need a final solution. #Machester.”
