Wisconsin Trump Supporter Tells Reporter He’d Shoot His Liberal Sister In The Face For Trump

The Guardian‘s Ed Pilkington traveled around the country this week to meet with some of the president’s most fervent devotees at Trump rallies in Missoula, Montana; Mesa, Arizona; Houston, Texas; Mosinee, Wisconsin; and Charlotte, North Carolina.

At an Oct. 24 rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, Pilkington met a 40-year-old West Bend man named Steve Spaeth, who operates a home exteriors company.

When asked who he regards as his political enemies, and whether “hate” is too strong a word, Spaeth said: “Not at all. I have a deep and absolute disgust for these human beings.”

“Which ones?” Pilkington asked.

The Trump supporter rattles off a list including CNN, George Soros, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, and Elizabeth Warren, whom he referred to as “Pocahontas.”

“Why do you hate them?” Pilkington asked.

“They want to turn America into a socialistic country. It’s disgusting,” he responded.

When asked how far he is prepared to take his hatred, he replied with a story about a recent discussion he had with his sister, who is liberal and votes Democratic.

He said to her: “If there is a civil war in this country and you were on the wrong side, I would have no problem shooting you in the face.”

“You must be joking,” the reporter fired back.

“No I am not. I love my sister, we get on great. But she has to know how passionate I am about our president.”
