A former associate administrator at the U.S. General Services Administration had sex with a White House staffer in his government office and on the roof of the agency’s northwest D.C. headquarters, an internal report by the General Services Administration (GSA) inspector general revealed.
The investigation by the independent federal agency which oversees federal office spaces and public buildings also revealed the official also drank from a bottle of vodka in his office “after normal business hours,” an NBC News affiliate reported Wednesday.
The report details how GSA official Brennan Hart, a Trump appointee, told investigators he escorted a White House staffer to his office after hours on July 1, 2017, and then poured drinks from a bottle of vodka he kept in his desk.
The two engaged in sexual activity in the building near Hart’s office and later on the rooftop, according to the inspector general report.
“He said their sexual activity began in the Administrator suite area and culminated with oral sex on the rooftop of the Central Office,” the report said, according to NBC 4.
The White House staffer’s name was redacted from the report.
NBC 4 reports that Hart left the agency in March 2018 just weeks after the inspector general interviewed him about the allegations.
“GSA does not tolerate inappropriate use of alcohol in the workplace or any violation of government regulations regarding alcohol,” said a GSA spokeswoman. “Further, GSA does not tolerate the misuse of government property by any GSA employee.”
