Warren: Kavanaugh ‘Should Be Impeached’ Just Like Trump Amid ‘Disturbing’ New Allegation

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Sunday called for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to be impeached following newly-reported allegations of sexual misconduct against him.

“Last year the Kavanaugh nomination was rammed through the Senate without a thorough examination of the allegations against him,” the 2020 presidential contender tweeted Sunday.

“Confirmation is not exoneration, and these newest revelations are disturbing. Like the man who appointed him, Kavanaugh should be impeached,” she continued, referring to President Trump.

Democratic presidential candidates including former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) have also called for Kavanaugh’s impeachment after a report published by the New York Times late Saturday detailed another allegation of sexual assault against the justice.

“I sat through those hearings. Brett Kavanaugh lied to the U.S. Senate and most importantly to the American people,” Harris tweeted. “He was put on the Court through a sham process and his place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached.”

The newspaper reported that one of Kavanaugh’s former male classmates witnessed him allegedly press his genitals against a woman without her consent. The FBI did not investigate the allegation, according to the Times.

Trump lashed out at news media and what he called the “radical left Democrats” for trying to “scare” Kavanaugh “into turning liberal.”

“Now the Radical Left Democrats and their Partner, the LameStream Media, are after Brett Kavanaugh again, talking loudly of their favorite word, impeachment. He is an innocent man who has been treated HORRIBLY,” he tweeted. “Such lies about him. They want to scare him into turning Liberal!”
