President Trump’s angry Twitter tirade lashing out against Fox News this weekend was reportedly triggered by footage aired on the network of bar patrons in France chanting, “F*ck Trump!,” according to The Associated Press.
Following the U.S. women’s national soccer team’s World Cup win on Sunday, Fox correspondent Greg Palkot aired a live report from a sports bar in Lyon, France, showing patrons in the background chanting obscenities aimed at President Trump.
Shortly after the report aired, Trump took to Twitter to blast the network.

Trump said that “watching Fox News’ weekend anchors is worse than watching low rating Fake News CNN, or Lyin, Brian Williams” and accused the network of forgetting “the people who got them there.” He said the network was “loading up with Democrats” and claimed “Fox News is changing fast.”
According to the AP, Trump was “particularly annoyed” by Palkot’s live report, according to two advisers not authorized to speak publicly about private discussions.
Trump’s frustration with the network has grown in recent months, repeatedly telling advisers that Fox has been going negative in its coverage of his presidency, according to the AP.
He was also annoyed that the network has mentioned his ties to billionaire and sex offender financier Jeffrey Epstein who was arrested this weekend on sex trafficking charges.
