Trump Warns Iran In ALL CAPS: Threaten Us And ‘You Will Suffer Consequences’ Few Have Ever Seen
President Donald Trump on Sunday night issued a forceful warning to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, threatening to inflict “severe consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before” if Rouhani threatens the US again.
In a tweet, written in all caps and directed explicitly at the Iranian president, Trump wrote: “Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence & death. Be cautious!”
To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!

Trump’s late night tweet comes after Rouhani cautioned the American leader on Sunday about pursuing hostile policies against Tehran.
“America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” Rouhani told a group of diplomats
“You are not in a position to incite the Iranian nation against Iran’s security and interests,” Rouhani said, in an apparent reference to reports of efforts by Washington to destabilize Iran’s Islamic government.
The Hill adds:
The tweet also came shortly after Trump’s secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, delivered remarks on Iran at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum on Sunday evening.
During his address, Pompeo compared Iran’s leaders to the mafia, while also declaring U.S. support for the people of Iran, especially protesters who have taken to the streets recently in opposition to the current regime.
Twitter users were quick to resurrect this 2013 Trump tweet: “Remember what I previously said–Obama will someday attack Iran in order to show how tough he is.”

Here’s how other Twitter users responded to the president’s ALL CAPS tweet:
Trump refuses to say anything like this to Russia, even though they did more than threaten us–they attacked and undermined our election and continue to mount cyberattacks on a regular basis. Why is Trump so soft on Russia, when he talks tough to other adversaries? https://t.co/hkk86PBQXY

Rouhani spoke today at a gathering of Iranian diplomats (https://t.co/CZZgucBACM ). He spoke of peace in addition to war: "America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars." https://t.co/uCK2EyMzcF

The Iran context is different, but worth recalling: hours after Trump said he'd hit North Korea with "fire and fury" if Kim issued any more threats, Kim issued a threat to attack Guam. Trump did nothing, then a while later started calling him a funny guy with a great personality.

This is a tweet of mine from six and a half months ago. It's now relevant again after Trump's Twitter meltdown tonight. https://t.co/WklyKpamp0
