Trump Warns Followers At Kansas Rally: Democrats Are ‘Too Dangerous’ To Govern, ‘Party Of Crime’

President Trump late Saturday warned his supporters that Democrats have become “too extreme and too dangerous to govern” and urged them to vote Republican in the midterm elections.

“You don’t hand matches to an arsonist, and you don’t give power to an angry left-wing mob,” Trump tweeted following a rally in Topeka, Kansas.

“Democrats have become too EXTREME and TOO DANGEROUS to govern. Republicans believe in the rule of law – not the rule of the mob,” he added.

The president’s tweet echoed a similar line he delivered to cheers at the rally in Kansas.

During the rally, Trump pointed to the bitter fight over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process as a sign of how high the stakes are in the upcoming midterms.

“If you allow the wrong people to get into office things could change,” Trump said. “They could change and they could change fast. And we’re not going to let that happen.”

Kavanaugh was confirmed Saturday afternoon in a 50-48 vote, despite sexual misconduct allegations from multiple women.

“In their quest for power, the radical Democrats have turned into an angry mob,” said the president.

“If you allow the wrong people to get into office, things could change. They could change and they could change fast,” Trump said. “You don’t hand matches to an arsonist and you don’t give power to an angry left-wing mob ― and that’s what they’ve become. The Democrats have become too extreme and too dangerous to govern.”

At one point in his speech, Trump claimed Democrats, who he referred to as the “party of crime.”
