President Donald Trump appeared to jokingly threaten to release Conan, the hero dog who was injured during a raid which led to the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, to attack any reporter who dare to ask a question during a White House Rose Garden ceremony honoring the Belgian Malinois, reports CNN.
“I learned a lot about this particular type of dog,” the president told reporters gathered outside at the start of the ceremony.
“It’s trained that if you open your mouths you will be attacked,” Trump said as First Lady Melania Trump and Vice President Mike Pence laughed. “You wanna be very, very careful.”

Trump said that Conan, who he referred to as “a tough cookie,” had arrived in Washington from the Middle East and had received a “medal and a plaque.”
“Conan was very badly hurt … and they thought maybe was not going to recover, (but) recovered very quickly and has since gone on very important raids,” Trump said.
The President said Conan was not retiring and is in “prime time” age-wise.
