President Trump on Monday threatened to let ObamaCare “crash & burn” if the Republican overhaul of the law fails in Congress, blaming Democrats for refusing to help Republicans who are “working very hard” on healthcare.
Trump tweeted: “Republican Senators are working very hard to get there, with no help from the Democrats. Not easy! Perhaps just let OCare crash & burn!”

The president did not provide details on how he would allow the law to “crash & burn.” The White House has in the past threatened to withhold cost-sharing subsidies to insurers.
Failure to provide payments, which subsidize lower deductibles and co-pays for low-income individuals, could cause chaos on the insurance markets, reports The Hill.
Trump has repeatedly claimed the Affordable Care Act is failing already, while critics argue that the uncertainty over the cost-sharing reductions is helping to drive premiums up.
