Trump Targets Funding For HIV/AIDS, Maternal & Child Health, Malaria, And Family Planning Programs
President Trump’s administration is reportedly planning to expand the so-called Mexico City policy that bans U.S. funding for abortions overseas.
The administration will announce a policy Monday called “Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance,” CBN reported.
“The pro-life policy will apply to global health assistance funding for international health programs, such as those for HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, malaria, global health security, and family planning and reproductive health,” a White House official told “The Brody File.”
Earlier this year, the president reignited the war over abortion by signing an executive order blocking foreign aid or federal funding for international nongovernmental organizations that provide or “promote” abortions.
