Trump Says Supporters ‘Soaking Wet’ In ‘Bad Weather’ Outside Rally. Reporters Note It’s Sunny And Hasn’t Rained

President Donald Trump appears to have told yet another lie about the weather following his tweet last Sunday falsely warning Alabama residents to get ready for Hurricane Dorian’s arrival.

According to Vice News senior political reporter Cameron Joseph, while discussing his campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the president said: “So we have now people standing in line trying to get into the arena and I will tell you that they are soaking wet….We have a tremendous crowd.”

Joseph shared a picture from outside the rally venue and noted: “It’s hot as hell but sunny here.”

CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted: “Trump just said there are people in line for his rally and ‘they are soaking wet.’ Per CNN’s @betsy_klein, ‘it is 88 and sunny here in Fayetteville. It has not rained here today.’ ”

Here’s video of Trump making the remarks in the middle of a briefing on Bahamian hurricane refugees:
