Just hours after President Trump took credit for the outstanding performance of non-existent “409K” retirement accounts, Trump attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, accusing her of “not operating with a full deck.”
“STOCK MARKET AT ALL-TIME HIGH!” Trump tweeted. “HOW ARE YOUR 409K’S DOING? 70%, 80%, 90% up? Only 50% up! What are you doing wrong?”
A 409k is not a thing. The president was presumably referring to a 401k, which is a company-sponsored retirement account to which employees contribute a certain amount that employers match either fully or partially.
Referring to last Friday’s airstrike that killed Qassem Soleimani, the leader of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Trump claimed the “radical left Democrats have expressed outrage over the termination of this horrible terrorist”, who was the “king of roadside bombs”.
“Here’s a guy who slaughtered and butchered civilians all over,” said Trump.
“And we have Bernie and Nancy Pelosi…all trying to say, ‘How dare you take him out that way? You should get permission from Congress. You should come in and tell us what you want to do. You should come in and tell us so that we can call up the fake news back there and we can leak it’.”
Trump claimed he and his top advisers needed to make a rapid call on whether or not to kill Soleimani, a move that Trump’s predecessors Presidents Barack Obama and George W Bush both considered but decided would be too inflammatory for the region.
“We’re having people like Nancy Pelosi, that’s a real genius, can you believe that one?” he asked. “Nervous Nancy.”
He added: “We had to make a decision. We didn’t have time to call up Nancy, who is not operating with a full deck.”
TRUMP ON PELOSI: She’s “not operating with a full deck.”
