Trump To Lawmakers: US Immigration Policy Should Just Be ‘I’m Sorry. You Can’t Come In’

President Trump on Tuesday reportedly called for the elimination of all US immigration laws and replace them with a simple line: “I’m sorry, you can’t come in.”

“It’s so simple. It’s called, ‘I’m sorry you can’t come in,’ ” a Bloomberg News reporter quoted the president saying to congressional members.

Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Jacobs also said the president told lawmakers that the country’s current immigration policy is a “hodgepodge of laws.”

Trump made the remarks a short time after the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling upholding the president’s travel ban.

When asked by reporters if he plans to “go ahead” with the travel ban, Trump reportedly said: “Of course.” The Supreme Court is the “final word.”
