President Trump joked about being a dictator for up to “21 years” during a Kentucky rally on Monday night.
“Fake news media, fake news. Look at all of them,” Trump said as the crowd booed members of the free press.
“What they don’t know is that when we hang it up, in five years, or nine years, or 13 years, or maybe 17 years, or maybe if I still have the strength, 21 years,” he jokingly told the crowd to cheers and applause.
“See, now they are going crazy,” he said as he pointed toward members of the media.
“Now they’re saying, ‘See I told you he was a dictator, he wants to take charge and control of our country,’ ” he added. “These people are crazy.”
"See, I told you he was a dictator," @POTUS mimics media responding after he says he might want to stay in office for another 21 years.
