President Trump says he would “100 percent” be willing to testify under oath that he did not ask former FBI Director James Comey for his loyalty, committing himself to testify should he be asked to do so by special counsel Robert Mueller.

“100 percent … I would be glad to tell him [special counsel Robert Mueller] exactly what I told you,” Trump said at a Rose Garden press conference at the White House on Friday.
Trump called Comey a “leaker” and insisted that the former FBI director lied under oath about the president asking Comey to see a way out of investigation of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Trump also said Comey was lying about an alleged request that Comey be loyal to him.
“I didn’t say that,” Trump said. “There would be nothing wrong if I did say” something regarding Flynn, Trump said “according to everybody I read today. But I did not say that.”
Trump bushed back on Comey’s loyalty pledge accusations, asking “who would ask a man to pledge allegiance under oath? I mean think of it. I hardly know the man. It doesn’t make sense.”
“No, I didn’t say that and I didn’t say the other,” he said.
