In the month of October, President Trump told an astonishing 1,104 false or misleading claims, more than double the amount he told in September, according to The Washington Post’s Fact Checker blog.
In the last seven weeks, Trump has averaged 30 false or misleading claims a day.
On October 22, when he traveled to Houston to hold a campaign rally for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R), Trump told a jaw-dropping 83 falsehoods in a single day.
In the 649 days between his inauguration and October 30, Trump told 6,420 claims that are partially or entirely false.
Trump recently told ABC News’ Jon Karl that “I do try … and I always want to tell the truth.”
