Trump Demands Fox News ‘Bring Back Judge Jeanine’ After Pulling Her Show Over Anti-Muslim Remarks

President Trump on Sunday demanded that Fox News “bring back Judge Jeanine Pirro” after the network pulled its Saturday episode of the conservative commentator’s program after her controversial comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar.

“The Radical Left Democrats, working closely with their beloved partner, the Fake News Media, is using every trick in the book to SILENCE a majority of our Country. They have all out campaigns against @FoxNews hosts who are doing too well,” he tweeted.

Fox News pulled its Saturday episode of the conservative commentator’s program, “Justice with Jeanine,” and instead aired a repeat episode of a documentary series, according to Variety.

During an episode last Saturday, Pirro questioned whether Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) hijab was “indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution.”

Her comments were condemned by Fox News leadership, which issued a statement rebuking Pirro.

“We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,” the network said in a statement days later. “They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

“I’ve seen a lot of comments about my opening statement from Saturday night’s show and I did not call Rep. Omar un-American. My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution. I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today,” Pirro said in response to the controversy.

Omar responded to Fox News’s statement on Monday in a tweet thanking the network for addressing Pirro’s remarks.

“Thank you, @FoxNews. No one’s commitment to our constitution should be questioned because of their faith or country of birth,” she wrote.

Trump on Sunday also named Tucker Carlson, host of Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” in his tweet. “Keep fighting for Tucker,” he wrote.

Carlson lost advertisers after a left-leaning media watchdog resurfaced comments he made during appearances on a radio show between 2006 and 2011.

He encouraged Fox to “stay strong and fight back” and “stop working soooo hard on being politically correct.” He suggested that Fox’s ratings prove people want its hosts to stay on air.
