Trump Calls Sexual Assault Survivors Protesting Kavanaugh ‘Paid Professionals’ Bankrolled By ‘Soros’
President Trump tweeted an unverified conspiracy theory on Friday morning, asserting without evidence that the thousands of protesters demonstrating against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh were “paid professionals” funded by liberal billionaire George Soros.
“The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals only looking to make Senators look bad Don’t fall for it!” he tweeted.
“Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love! #Troublemakers,” he added.

On Thursday, thousands of protesters descended on Washington after the FBI investigation into Kavanaugh concluded without interviewing the nominee or two of his three accusers, Christine Blasey Ford or Julie Swetnick.
Trump’s tweet about “elevator screamers” appears to be a reference to yesterday’s testy exchange between Senator Orrin Hatch and a group of female protesters.
Hatch told the women to “grow up” and waved them off dismissively as he got into an elevator.
