Trump Brags To First Responders About Crowd Size At El Paso Rally (He Still Owes City $500K For That Rally)
Minutes after meeting with the victims of this weekend’s El Paso mass shooting that took 22 lives and left dozens more injured, President Donald Trump bragged to a room full of law enforcement officials about a political rally he held in El Paso earlier this year.
“Could have sold it out four times,” Trump boasted of the arena.
The city of El Paso says Trump’s campaign still owes it over $500,000 for the rally.
Trump also called the attacker, who was arrested, a “coward. He gave up, just gave up.”
He then reflected on his visits to hospitals in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso.
“The love, the respect for the office of the presidency,” Trump told reporters. “I wish you could have been in there to see it.”
Here’s Trump bragging today in El Paso, 4 days after an anti-immigrant mass shooting in the same city, about a speech he delivered in February in El Paso in which he fomented anti-immigrant hysteria.
This is an amoral person, to put it very charitably. pic.twitter.com/WqFz3n1R7g
