During a tax reform speech in North Dakota this afternoon, President Donald Trump told the crowd that his daughter Ivanka pleaded to come along to the event at an oil refinery in Bismark.
“You know, sometimes they’ll say, ‘He can’t be that bad a guy — look at Ivanka,’” Trump said while introducing his daughter, who is also a White House adviser.
“She said, ‘Dad can I come with you,” Trump added. “Actually she said ‘Daddy can I go with you?’ I like that.”
“I said, ‘Yes you can,'” he added.

“Look at Ivanka, come on up honey, she’s so good,” Trump said. “She wanted to make the trip.”
He then called his daughter to the stage.
“Hi North Dakota, we love this state so it’s always a pleasure to be back here,” Ivanka told the crowd.
“You treated us very very well in November and have continued to so we like showing the love back,” she added.
