Trump Attacks ‘Fake News Media’ Minutes After Blaming Clinton For Epstein’s Conspiracy

Minutes after angrily lashing out at the “totally dishonest the Fake News Media,” President Trump retweeted a post promoting a conspiracy theory that blamed the recent death of Jeffrey Epstein on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton without providing any evidence.

“Think how wonderful it is to be able to fight back and show, to so many, how totally dishonest the Fake News Media really is,” Trump tweeted Saturday afternoon. “It may be the most corrupt and disgusting business (almost) there is! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Minutes earlier, Trump shared a tweet by Twitter user Terrence K. Williams, who blamed Epstein’s death on the Clintons.

The tweet included the hashtags #ClintonBodyCount and #ClintonCrimeFamily, as well as a photo of both the former president and secretary of state.

Former Acting Solicitor General of the United States Neal Katyal ripped into Trump for promoting the conspiracy theory on Twitter, writing: “It is unfathomable to me that a President of the United States would retweet this. Literally unfathomable.”

He added: “It would be outrageous for even a member of a local city council, let alone from the person who is to Take Care that the Laws be Faithfully Executed.”
