After a town hall in Massachusetts on Sunday and following a blue wave of Democratic victories on Tuesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said that Democrats have “come together as the party of opposition,” according to Politico.
“We are not going to let a Republican majority that does not represent the will of the people just run over this country and I think it has shown up in health care, and I think it’s now going to show up in the tax fight,” she continued, adding “We’re in this one all the way.”
The Hill added:
Warren’s comments come after Brazile said in a her new memoir that the Democratic presidential primary in 2016 was rigged in Hillary Clinton’s favor.
Warren told CNN’s Jake Tapper that she believed the Democratic primary was rigged in favor of Clinton earlier this month. She later walked back the comment, saying the overall process at the DNC was fair.
“I agree with what Donna Brazile has said over the last few days; that while there was some bias at the DNC, the overall 2016 primary process was fair and Hillary made history.”
