Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday went after President Trump for his “bombastic” rhetoric on North Korea.
“Trump’s bombastic rhetoric is not appropriate when we are dealing with the possibility of a nuclear war that could kill millions of people,” Sanders tweeted Wednesday.
“We need serious people at the @StateDept dealing with the issue of North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons & missile capability.”
Sanders said the country needs to work with China and its allies around the world to develop a “comprehensive diplomatic strategy to address the problem.”

The Vermont senator’s remarks come after President Trump on Tuesday issued a provocative warning to North Korea.
“He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,” Trump said Tuesday.
