Roy Moore Voter: Alabama Parents Used To Be Thrilled If A District Attorney Hit On Their Child

Vice News held a panel discussion with Alabama voters this week to talk about GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore and the 9 women who have accused him of sexual assault and misconduct when they were teenagers and he was in his 30’s.

One Moore supporter claimed that his state was a “different world” when the former judge’s accusers claimed he dated them when they were as young as 14-years-old.

“Forty years ago in Alabama, it was a different world,” the man said in a documentary by Vice News Tonight.

He claims his grandmother was married at 13 and had children and a job by age 15.

“If Roy Moore was guilty,” he continued, “forty years ago in Alabama, there’s a lot of mamas and daddies that’d be thrilled that their 14-year-old was getting hit on by a district attorney.”
