Rioters Set Fire To Minneapolis Police Station Home To Officers Who Murdered George Floyd

The Minneapolis police 3rd precinct has been overrun by those protesting the death of George Floyd and has been set on fire.

Police have issued a message via scanners saying the building on Lake Street “has been compromised,” with officers being evacuated.

The 3rd Precinct is where the four officers connected to the death of 46-year-old George Floyd worked, before they were fired on Tuesday.

The Minnesota National Guard issued the following statement late Thursday night: “We have activated more than 500 soldiers to St. Paul, Minneapolis and surrounding communities. Our mission is to protect life, preserve property and the right to peacefully demonstrate. A key objective is to ensure fire departments are able to respond to calls.”
