Pompeo Brags About His Time As Trump’s CIA Director: ‘We Lied, We Cheated, We Stole’
In a rare moment of honesty, former CIA Director Mike Pompeo admitted, ‘as an aside’ to the question asked, that the Intelligence agency he headed up before being appointed as the top US Diplomat followed the motto: “we lied, we cheated, we stole.”
“When I was a cadet, what’s the cadet motto at West Point? You will not lie, cheat, or steal or tolerate those who do,” Pompeo admitted to an audience from Texas A&M University on April 15. “I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses.”
“It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment,” Pompeo boasted as he joined the audience in laughing and celebrating the statement.
The CIA often asks American citizens and international leaders to believe some extraordinarily high-stakes claims. From warning countries around the world not to invest in Huawei technology ‘compromised’ by Chinese state security funding to asserting that Moscow meddled in the elections and pushing Trump to expel Russian diplomats, it would seem that maintaining integrity and confidence would be a high priority for the intelligence agency.
According to former CIA director and current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, however, that notion is laughable.
Almost entirely unreported, watch @SecPompeo last week boast of how under his leadership the CIA ‘lied, cheated and stole’https://t.co/n2ZuARQ96X
Worth remembering perhaps when he next makes otherwise unsubstantiated claims about Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Assange or anything else pic.twitter.com/oIfJnFZC6Y— Charles Shoebridge (@ShoebridgeC) April 22, 2019
Interestingly, Christian religious news broadcaster TruNews appeared to be the only media that picked up on Pompeo’s words, describing them as follows: “that’s not the resume of the Secretary of State… that’s the resume of Satan.”
"I was the CIA Director; we lied, we cheated we stole. We had entire training courses."
