Just minutes after President Trump took a swipe at Nancy Pelosi’s intelligence and declared himself to be “an extremely stable genius,” the House Speaker responded on Twitter by saying she’d be happy to work with the “extremely stable genius” when he “starts acting more presidential.”
“When the ‘extremely stable genius’ starts acting more presidential, I’ll be happy to work with him on infrastructure, trade and other issues,” Pelosi tweeted on Thursday in response to Trump saying “she is a mess.”

Trump’s “stable genius” remark came just hours after Pelosi openly questioned his fitness to remain in office, suggesting a Trump staff or family “intervention” for the good of the nation after his dramatic Wednesday “temper tantrum” at a White House meeting with Democrats.
“She’s a mess,” Trump said during remarks at a farmers’ event at the White House.
“Cryin’ Chuck, Crazy Nancy … I watched Nancy and she was all crazy yesterday,” he claimed.
Trump took a shot at Pelosi’s intelligence, claiming that his re-negotiated trade deal with Canada and Mexico is so complex that Pelosi can’t understand it.
“I don’t think Nancy Pelosi understands the deal, it’s too complicated. But it’s not a complicated deal,” Trump said.
Trump claimed “many” Democrats have informed the White House they plan to support the US Mexico-Canada Agreement, USMCA, “regardless of leadership.”
Trump later declared, “I’m an extremely stable genius.”
