Lev Parnas’ legal team shared a video of their client socializing with Mike Pence and his wife after the vice president vehemently denied that he knows the indicted Rudy Giuliani associate.
“I don’t know the guy,” Pence insisted to reporters in Tampa on Thursday. He added that Parnas’ claims that the vice president was “in the loop” on the Ukraine operation intended to smear presidential candidate Joe Biden are “completely false.”
But Joseph Bondy, the attorney for Parnas, tweeted the video Monday night with the caption: “Pence does indeed know the guy.”
The 23-second video clip, which opens with the soundtrack “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire, shows Parnas holding the hand of Karen Pence and talking with her as the vice president speaks to someone else at the table.
The video ends as Parnas is seen reaching toward Mike Pence, waiting to shake his hand.

Parnas, who was indicted on campaign finance charges last year, recently turned over a trove of documents to House investigators that shed new light on an effort by Giuliani and others to oust former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
Parnas told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that Pence’s trip to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s inauguration in May was canceled because Ukraine hadn’t announced an investigation into the Bidens.
He also suggested that Pence was “in the loop” on the push for the investigation, adding, “He couldn’t have not known.”
Parnas also claimed that Pence was tasked to go Poland to meet with Zelensky in early September to press Kyiv to investigate the Bidens.
There are at least two pictures of Pence and Parnas together at campaign events in addition to the new video shared by Bondy.
