Parkland Student Rips Trump’s Inaction On Gun Control: ‘Trump Does Not Care About School Shootings’

Cameron Kasky, a survivor of the deadly Valentine’s Day Parkland, Fla., high school shooting, responded to the latest high school mass shooting in Texas in a tweet on Friday, telling his followers to prepare for the NRA to “boast about getting higher donations” and blasting President Trump for his inaction on gun control.

“At least 8 students have been shot and killed at Santa Fe High School,” Kasky wrote on Twitter in response to the multiple fatalities reported Friday after a shooter opened fire at Santa Fe High School in Texas. “Prepare to watch the NRA boast about getting higher donations. Prepare to see students rise up and be called ‘civil terrorists’ and crisis actors. Prepare for the right-wing media to attack the survivors.”

Federal and local law enforcement told local media that the suspect, a 17-year-old student, is in custody after at least nine people were killed and an officer — as well as multiple students — were injured.

Kasky, who has been advocating for stricter gun control laws in the wake of the February shooting that left 17 people dead, went on to criticize President Trump in another tweet, saying: “Donald Trump does not care about school shootings.”

Kasky added: “Not a single one of you should know me. Or any of my friends. But you do because we come from one of the hot school shootings of the month. Now we have another. Another community attacked that will only be further attacked by the NRA. Welcome to America, folks. This happens here.”
