NRATV host Grant Stinchfield suggested on Monday that the rise in violence in our society could be partly blamed on Americans “taking God out of our culture.”
“Whether the left likes it or not, I will offer my thoughts and prayers,” the host said on the May 21 edition of NRATV’s Stinchfield.
“And I do it sincerely, because I truly believe it helps,” he added. “So when they say enough is enough with the thoughts and prayers, I say enough with taking God out of our culture; a quest that is at least partly to blame for the violence we see today.”
According to Pew Research Center, 88% of Texans said they were “fairly certain” or “absolutely” believed in God.
Texas also has about 12.8 guns on record for every 1,000 residents. That’s 337,309 firearms among 26,448,193 people. In fact, the actual numbers are probably higher because Texans are not required by law to register their firearms. As such, the ATF can only count those who seek background checks.
