Karen Pence refused to kiss her husband Mike Pence in the minutes after Trump won the 2016 election, saying “You got what you wanted, Mike. Now leave me alone,” according to a new book.
According to an excerpt published Thursday in The Guardian from author Michael Lewis’s book, “The Fifth Risk,” Karen Pence also “wouldn’t so much as say hello to Trump” after the win.

Lewis writes that Trump “just stared at the TV without saying anything, like a man with a pair of twos whose bluff has been called,” after Pennsylvania was called in favor of Trump at 1:35 a.m., thereby winning the election against all odds.
The vice president’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
An Atlantic profile of the vice president published earlier this year quoted a former campaign aide who said the second lady was “disgusted” after the “Access Hollywood” video surfaced in October of 2016.
The aide said Karen Pence finds Trump “reprehensible.”
