New Poll Finds Trump’s Support In Rural America Has Hit A New Low

President Trump’s approval rating among voters in rural communities has hit a new low, plummeting below 50 percent for the first time since his inauguration.

The president’s approval rating in small towns and rural communities, many of which strongly supported him in the election, sunk to 47% last month, compared to 55 percent during the first week of his presidency, a Reuters/Ipsos survey showed.

His disapproval rating in the rural communities reached 47 percent in the poll, compared with 39 percent in the earlier period.

Satisfaction with Trump’s handling of immigration also dropped, falling from 56 percent during his first month in office to 47 percent last month.
