The chairman of the Nevada Republican Party shared a video on Wednesday of pro-Trump protesters heckling Senator Elizabeth Warren and shouting racial slurs at her as she arrived at the Reno Tahoe Airport.
Michael J. McDonald, the Nevada GOP chairman, also told the Democratic 2020 primary candidate that Reno, Nevada, was “@teamtrump country” in his tweet before linking to a fundraiser website selling “Impeach This” T-shirt merchandise.
Airport authorities said the activists heckling Warren did not have a permit to protest and violated the airport’s policies: “Airport Police weren’t given prior notice of the arrival. Protestors didn’t follow the permit process & the airport’s attorney will be investigating the incident.”
In the video of protesters shared by McDonald and the Nevada GOP’s social media accounts, the activists can be heard shouting “go home” and called her “Pocahontas,” a racial slur often used by the president to attack Warren over her claim of having Native American heritage.

The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) formally condemned Trump earlier this year for his “continued use of the name ‘Pocohantas’ as a slur” when referring to Sen. Warren.
“The reference is using a historic American Indian figure as a derogatory insult and that’s insulting to all American Indians,” said John Norwood, general secretary of the Alliance of Colonial Era Tribes. He added that Trump should “stop using our historical people of significance as a racial slur against one of his opponents.”
The Massachusetts senator kept smiling as she waved at the protesters holding Trump/Pence placards and wearing MAGA hats as she made her way through the airport.
One passerby can be heard yelling: “Go Warren! Woo!”
