MSNBC was forced to cut away from President Donald Trump’s press conference on Wednesday because the network said the president was repeating lies about his political rival Joe Biden as a “deflection” from the impeachment inquiry.
“We hate to do this really but the president isn’t telling the truth,” MSNBC host Nicole Wallace said as the network cut away from the speech.
“These allegations against Joe Biden and Hunter Biden that he’s repeating have been investigated by the Ukrainians, none other than the Wall Street Journal included in their report on Friday that the Ukrainians view this issue as having been investigated and adjudicated,” Wallace said.
“What’s amazing is that what Trump appears to be trying to do is to turn his own impeachment into a big deflection,” she added.
Here’s when Nicolle Wallace stops airing Trump’s presser.

Former Justice Department spokesman Matthew Miller agreed with Wallace’s assessment of the president’s lies, saying that it’s clear Trump is trying to change the story.
The White House released a memo Wednesday of a summary transcript of Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that shows Trump repeatedly asking the Ukrainian leader for “a favor” before asking him to look into former Vice President Biden and his son.
