White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany declared President Donald Trump is the “most informed person on the planet earth” while pushing back against reports that the president does not read his President’s Daily Briefing (PDB).
McEnany was asked on Tuesday about widespread reports that Trump did not read his PDB that included warnings about Russia’s plot to offer bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Trump received a written briefing and a briefing from then-National Security Advisor John Bolton in early 2019, according to the Associated Press.
Top White House officials were aware of the intelligence in early 2019, which also claims that then-National Security Advisor John Bolton told colleagues he briefed Trump on the intelligence in March 2019, and that it was included in one the president’s written daily intelligence briefings around that time.
“The President does read,” McEnany claimed.
“And he also consumes intelligence verbally,” she added.
“This President, I’ll tell you, is the most informed person on the planet earth when it comes to the threats that we face,” she claimed.
