Given its VIP invitees, Trump’s Mayflower foreign policy speech is now at the heart of Congress’ and the FBI’s ever-expanding Trump-Russia probe.

Congressional investigators are now examining whether Attorney General Jeff Sessions had an additional private meeting with Russia’s ambassador on April 27, 2016, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., where then-candidate Trump was delivering his foreign policy speech, Republican and Democratic sources briefed on the matter told CNN.




According to Seth Abramson, an attorney and former criminal investigator who has been at the forefront of Russiagate reporting, the Mayflower Speech might have been where the quid pro quo took place.
