Man Takes Knee During National Anthem At Trump’s ‘Celebration of America’ Event That Replaced Philadelphia Eagles Meeting
An unidentified man took a knee during the national anthem at President Trump’s “Celebration of America,” an event that replaced Trump’s meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles after he attacked NFL players for protesting during the anthem.
Jesper Zølck, a reporter for TV2 in Denmark, tweeted a photo of the individual kneeling during a performance of the national anthem.
Zolck reported that the individual left the event quickly after it ended and refused to talk to reporters.

The 10-minute celebration featured renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America” by the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus.
The event was planned after the president on Monday night abruptly disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles from attending a White House celebration amid reports that less than 10 players planned to attend.
The White House blamed the NFL team for the cancellation and claimed it was a “political stunt.”
The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!
