‘It’s Not Fair!’: Capitol Rioter Who Violated Pelosi’s Office Yells At Judge Over Pretrial Jailing

An Arkansas man who stormed the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6 and went viral after photos circulated showing him with his feet up on a desk inside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, called in from jail for Thursday’s, March 4, court status hearing.

U.S. District Court Judge Christopher R. Cooper suggested a continuance until May 4, but that did not go over well with Barnett.

“I’ve been here a long time … another month … It’s not fair,” Barnett could be heard telling the court about the suggested May date, reports Fox24.

“You’re letting everyone else out, I need help,” he yelled.

The status conference was paused for a 5-minute recess after Barnett’s outburst.

When Judge Cooper returned, he confirmed the next status conference for May 4.

In February, Barnett entered a not guilty plea to all counts of his indictment. He has been charged with aiding and abetting, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, parading or demonstrating in a capitol building, and theft of government property.

He is currently being held without bond and will remain in custody until his trial.
