In Latest Authoritarian Meltdown, Trump Says He Has Officially ‘Claimed’ Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan And N. Carolina

In a completely incoherent and nonsensical authoritarian tweet, President Trump declared that for “Electoral Vote purposes” he has “claimed” Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.

“We have claimed, for Electoral Vote purposes, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (which won’t allow legal observers) the State of Georgia, and the State of North Carolina, each one of which has a BIG Trump lead,” Trump tweeted.

“Additionally, we hereby claim the State of Michigan if, in fact there was a large number of secretly dumped ballots as has been widely reported!” Trump added.

The tweet was immediately hidden by Twitter and replaced with the following warning: “Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process. Learn more.”

New York Magazine’s Josh Barro mocked Trump’s nonsensical tweet, writing: “Trump invoking the ‘I called dibs, no backsies’ clause of the Constitution.”
