‘His Dad Paid $2.5 Million For Harvard Admission’: Coulter Rips Kushner Amid College Admission Scandal

Conservative provocateur Ann Coulter hinted on Twitter that President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner could be “in hot water” for his “father buying his Harvard admission” amid outrage over the college bribery scandal.

“BLIND ITEM: Which top presidential advisor could be in hot water over his father buying his Harvard admission SOONER than he’ll be indicted by Mueller?” Coulter tweeted on Tuesday.

Coulter did not name Kushner in the tweet, but it was obvious she was referring to Kushner as she mocked him in a tweet an hour earlier.

“Boy, the price has gone up! Charles Kushner paid Harvard a mere $2.5 million to get Jared into Harvard,” Coulter tweeted. “CNN: Parents paid up to $6.5 million to get their kids into college. #CollegeCheatingScandal”

In 2006, ProPublica editor Daniel Golden reported that Kushner’s father, Charles, pledged a gift of $2.5 million to Harvard in 1998. Five years later, Jared graduated from the prestigious school.

“There was no way anybody in the administrative office of the school thought he would on the merits get into Harvard,” a former official at Jared’s high school told Golden. “His GPA did not warrant it, his SAT scores did not warrant it. We thought for sure, there was no way this was going to happen. Then, lo and behold, Jared was accepted. It was a little bit disappointing because there were at the time other kids we thought should really get in on the merits, and they did not.”

A spokeswoman for the Kushner family real estate business said that any link between Jared’s admission to Harvard and his father’s donation is “false.”

In a statement to Newsweek, Risa Heller said that Kushner’s parents “are enormously generous and have donated over 100 million dollars to universities, hospitals and other charitable causes.”

“Jared Kushner was an excellent student in high school and graduated from Harvard with honors.”
