Government Requests $10 Million Bail, House Arrest For Ex-Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort
Just hours after they surrendered to the FBI, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business partner Rick Gates, pleaded not guilty to a 12-count indictment charging the men with money laundering, making false statements and other counts.
Prosecutors asked the to court to set Manafort’s bond at $10 million and $5 million for Gates.
The government has requested that both men be placed under house arrest, while at the same time requesting “high-intensity supervision” for Manafort.

Prosecutors have also requested that Manafort be released on house arrest in Virginia. The special counsel’s office considers him a flight risk, lawyers in Mueller’s office argued before Robinson on Monday afternoon, citing the seriousness of the charges and the extent of Manafort’s ties abroad.
