Donald Trump’s personal defense attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday night that decorated war hero and former FBI director, Robert Mueller, was paid a $30 million salary to oversee the Justice Department’s Russia probe.
“The guy got paid upwards of somewhere around $30 million, but he couldn’t make the key decision,” the former New York City Mayor falsely claimed. “His hands were shaking.”
Mueller himself took a major pay cut upon accepting the federal position in 2017. He reportedly left the law firm WilmerHale where he made more than $3 million in less than a year as a partner.
Hannity did not correct Giuliani’s outrageous lie.
