Fox Business’ Neil Cavuto on Monday called President Trump’s press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin “disgusting,” saying it “sets us back a lot.”
Cavuto said that Trump’s refusal to confront Putin about Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election was effectively letting Putin “get away” with it.
“I’m sorry, it’s the only way I feel, it’s not a right or left thing to me, it’s just wrong,” he said. “A U.S. president on foreign soil talking to our biggest enemy or adversary or competitor … essentially letting the guy get away with this, and not even offering a mild criticism. That sets us back a lot.”

The Hill added:
During the press conference, Trump refuted his own intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, saying that he doesn’t “see any reason” why Russia would have been behind hacking instances.
He also tore into the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling, calling the probe a “disaster for our country.”
Trump declined to confront Putin over the Russian leader’s insistence that the Kremlin did not interfere in the election. Last week, special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers and charged them with hacking US systems to influence the election.
“He just said it’s not Russia,” Trump said of Putin. “I will say this, I don’t see any reason why it would be.”
