Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs called for a purge of “corrupt” Department of Justice and FBI officials in response to recent news that the FBI failed to preserve five months’ worth of texts between embattled FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
“An agency and a department sworn to preserve the national security violating law, violating law and order, and the Constitution,” Dobbs said to his guest, former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton. “And denying Congress the fulfillment of its responsibility, which is to oversee those two organizations. This is reprehensible. What do you think can be done — most expediently, to preserve evidence — and to bring people who are in positions of authority to bay to prevent further corruption?”
“The rank and file is not an issue,” the host said. “The people that lead those — the Department of Justice and FBI — are corrupt, they are crooked and they need to be removed forthwith!”
Last month, Dobbs told his viewers that Obama should be detained by U.S. Marshals for criticizing President Trump while traveling abroad.
“I think U.S. Marshals should follow him, and any time he wants to go follow the president like he is, and behave… I mean, this is just bad manners. It’s boorish, it’s absurd, he doesn’t realize how foolish he looks. I mean, he should be brought back by the Marshals,” Dobbs said. “Isn’t there some law that says presidents shouldn’t be attacking sitting presidents?”
